Show Products as New

Show any product as new again with one click. Show Products as New resets the creation date and the update date of a product to the moment you click, so PrestaShop treats it as a brand-new product: it gets the New label again, appears on the new products page and in New products blocks, and comes first in lists sorted by newest.

That date is normally fixed the day you create a product. But a product can deserve a second launch: it is back in stock, there is a new edition or an improved version, or it returns for the season. Recreating the product would cost you its reviews, links, SEO and sales history. With this module you keep everything and only reset the date.

Use it where you work: "Show as new" in the actions menu of every product in Catalog › Products, "Show selection as new" as a bulk action for up to 1000 products at once, and "Show as new" on the product page itself. Every action asks for confirmation and ends with a clear message.

The module is fully multistore: the action applies to the store, the group or all stores you selected. Other modules are told about the change as after a normal save, so New products blocks and page caches refresh. No settings, no extra tables, nothing added to your theme.
